Oh, so this is just another digital delay pedal …. NOOOOOOOT!!!! Time Module delay is a PT2399 based echo pedal with carefully chosen components and precisely calculated filters to make achieve a great analog-sounding delay effect. One of its best features is the Tape delay emulation – we added a modulation circuit.
Every echo sounds a bit darker than the previous one. At longer delay times the delays get a bit dirtier – that are the analog-sounding features that we’re talking about. The delay time goes somewhere between 0 and 600 ms. A classic slap-back, basic delay and long “U2ish” echo sounds can be achieved easily. Let us introduce you to the MIX control that mixes your delay sound to the clean sound of your guitar. The repeat knob controls the amount of delay repeats. From the middle position upwards the effect starts to oscillate. Turning the controls at this time produces some weird sounds, so give it a go.
About that modulation we were talking about. With the Depth knob you control the amount of modulation that is present in your delay tone. Once the modulation is active, you’ll hear a bit of pitch shifted echoes present in your tone. The Speed knob sets how fast your echoes modulate. The Depth and Speed controls are interactive with Time control. With this delay pedal, there’s also possible to produce a chorus-like sound, an almost realistic bathroom reverb, some vibrato/lesslie tone and of course the ultra weird oscillations followed by a bunch of pitch shifted sounds.
